This journal is bound in purple leather and decorated with silver floral details. I choose a romantic theme and a subtle chromatic harmony, between the purple leather, the silver tooled decoration and the darker patina of the antiqued finish I applied to the edges. This journal features in the center of the covers the Triquetra, an ancient Celtic symbol considered one of the oldest; dating back to as early as 500 BC when it was used to symbolize the triple goddess. In modern times it symbolizes the Holy Trinity, the cycles of life, or the interconnectedness of body, mind, and spirit.
The book measures 10.2 x 7.3 inches (26 x 18.5 cm). It has 134 pages (268 sides) of artist quality paper, Modigliani Bianco. The paper is warm white, hand torn and has a medium thickness (140 gsm) being perfect for writing and sketching in any media, even watercolor.
