Vintage leather journal, old brown leather, Gold tooled decoration. Once Upon a Time

This old looking journal is made of a worn piece of leather that came from a vintage lot of hides that I bought many years ago. It has various marks that show its age and wear and the charm of a book with history. The decoration of the covers was kept to a minimum to allow the character and the passage through time of this piece to show. Contrasting, the spine was decorated with detailed gold tooling in the old style, but the gold was aged to suit the rest of this notebook.

As all my vintage leather journals, this is one of a kind.

The journal measures 6.5 x 8.8 inches (16.5 x 22.5 cm). It is filled with Keaykolour paper in light parchment color. It has 200 pages (400 sides). The paper is thin (90 gsm) but it perfect for writing and does not bleed through. 

The endpapers are made of hand marbled paper with brown green and beige veins. The headbands were handsewn from brown and gold color threads. 

This journal has a lot of character. It would fit perfectly in your collection of antique books or your shabby chic interior. I hope you will enjoy!
