This leather journal is bound in ivory goatskin with smooth texture. The decoration was tooled with silver foil and hand painted in great detail. I chose this very subtle contrast between the ivory of the leather, the antique silver, the bright shinny silver and the monochromatic drawing of the angel wings on the front and back covers. The entire binding has a magic fascinating look due to the difference in textures and soft contrasts.
This journal measures 7.3 x 10.2 inches (18.5 x 26 cm). It has 104 pages (208 sides) of artist quality paper (Fabriano Rusticus). The paper is warm white, hand torn and thick (200 gsm) being perfect for writing and sketching in any media, even watercolor.
The headbands were handsewn from black and silver thread and create a beautiful model at the head and tale of the book. The endpages are made of hand marbled paper with black, blue and grey veins.
