Large leather journal, Antiqued gold and white diamond pattern, tooled decoration - Ancient Tales

This one of a kind journal is bound in antique gold leather with white patina and was decorated in a diamond pattern by blind tooling. The design resemble a medieval tome in colors of antiqued ivory and its texture suggests degradation and the passage of time. I designed it to seem a mysterious tome from the shelves of an old library. 

Theis blank book measures 7.5x12.5 inches (19x31.5 cm) and has 124 pages (248 sides) of Favini Laguna artist paper with parchment finish. This paper is acid free, hand-torn, has 180 gsm and will work for writing and sketching in any media, even watercolor.

The endpapers are made of hand marbled paper with brown and grey veins. The headbands are hand sewn from brown and gold thread and make a beautiful decoration at the head and tale of the book.
