Antiqued brown leather journal with tooled decoration. The Cycle of Life

This journal is bound in hand dyed brown leather with antiqued finish. The design was hand tooled onto the leather each small element at the time to give this book the look and feel of an old treasure. The tree depicted in the cover is a synthetized olive tree which are very characteristic for Portugal and symbolizes the eternal link between man and the earth. On the front cover the tree is depicted at its fullest, with fruit on it's branches. On the spine there is an evolution from seed to sprout and branches with leaves. And finally on the back cover there is only a landscape watered by rain, appearing to be barren but bearing so much potential. 

The notebook measures 6.5 x 9 inches (16.5 x 22.5 cm) and is filled with parchment like paper, Laguna Marrone from Favini. It has 90 gsm, it is hand torn, acid free and it will hold well ink and dry media.

The endpapers are made of marbled paper with brown, yellow and blue veins. The headbands are hand sewn from brown and gold thread and make a beautiful decoration at the head and tale of the book.
