Tooled Leather Journal, Dark Brown Leather - Granny's Secret

This one of a kind journal is bound in dark goatskin with a smooth grain and antique finish. The decoration was made by blind tooling as I wanted to give this book a tactile feel, to create a fascinating texture that makes this monochrome binding special and unique. It reminds me of a treasure found in a chest full of tomes in the attic. 

The journal measures 7.5 x 8.3 inches (18.5 x 26 cm). It is filled with Favini Laguna with parchment finish. This paper is acid free, hand-torn, has 160 gsm and will work for writing and sketching in any media, even watercolor.

The end pages are made of decorative Italian paper. The endbands are embellishing the book at the head and the tale of the book, and hand sewn from brown, black and creme threads.
